Abandoned nannotrigona beehive, artificial flowers, and found wood.

For a few years, I watched Nannotrigona bees build their home inside a bouquet of artificial hydrangeas that my mom kept as decoration on her house patio.

After the bees left, I took the remnants of their home to my own house and made different arrangements. Meanwhile, the beehive itself dehydrated and shrank until things culminated in this final composition.
